Kitchen & carpentry

A Coachella Valley Kitchen Refresh & Hallway Reframe

It started in the shop: hardwood pieces shaped on the bench and a wooden box built on a Kreg table before a single cabinet came off the wall. With the work zone sealed in plastic to keep dust out of a lived-in home, the kitchen became a bright white space: grey marble counter, subway-tile backsplash, open floating shelves, black bar pulls, a built-in microwave drawer, and a softly curved counter end. Every drawer got organizers. Then we moved down the hall, reframing doorways with new bucks and headers and numbering each floor tile before it was laid so the pattern landed right.

Garage & whole home

The Garage That Became a Gym, Plus Whole-Home Upgrades

A bare concrete garage stacked with boxes became a home gym: interlocking orange-and-grey floor tiles, a black cabinet wall, a custom cabinet run, and hexagonal acoustic panels planned on screen, dry-fitted, then installed around a mirror and whiteboard. Over the same stretch the home also got a teal accent wall, a modern stair wall, a laser-leveled outdoor patio TV, a wood-look tile bathroom with floating shelves and frameless glass, and custom entry cubbies and hallway shelving.

Fine cabinetry

Custom Cabinetry in a Coachella Valley Desert Estate

In a curved modern home in a gated community, we installed a light-oak island with black interiors and tops, drawer stacks, a pull-out bin, open shelving, and a sink base plumbed for a disposal. High-end homes leave no room for gaps or scratches, so the work was measured and fitted with care.

Structural & glass

Opening Up a Desert-Modern Home

The goal was light and flow. We shored up the structure, cut open exterior walls, pulled the old sliders, and set big new headers for multi-panel glass doors that open onto the lawn. Inside, a vaulted great room was framed with arched windows and a built-in fireplace and media niche; outside, scaffolding went up for new stucco on the entry. A cedar sauna and shop-built panels rounded it out. Structural work like this is where we bring in trusted specialists.

Repair & electrical

Hydrotherapy Spa Bed Repair at a Luxury Spa in Indian Wells

A high-end treatment bed at a working spa needed repair. We opened the panels, traced the pump, control boxes and wiring, and got its color-changing lights cycling green, purple and red again.

Bench work

Custom Guitar Rewire

Not every job is a house. A cherry-sunburst Les Paul-style guitar came apart on the bench (neck, body, routed cavities) and got fresh pots and wiring in the control cavity before going back together. The same patience we bring to a cabinet joint, at guitar scale.

Hand-Shaped Wave Headers to Match Existing Art

A poolside home had a one-of-a-kind white wave-relief header, and the owners wanted more of it over new windows and doors. There's no catalog for that, so we shaped it by hand: a flap disc on a grinder working a flowing wave into long boards, then sealing and finishing them to blend with the original under the dark beams and tan stucco.

Security & low voltage

Lorex Security Camera System Install

A Lorex wired camera system: bullet cameras mounted under ceiling ledges and on outdoor pergola beams, with home-run cabling back to the recorder and the recorder patched into the modem/router.

Networking

Network Setup & System Configuration

Part of the camera job was the network side: patching into the modem/router with ethernet runs and setting up the recorder's network settings on a monitor.

Planning & layout

Designing the Garage Floor Before Laying It

Before a single tile went down in the garage, the orange-and-grey hexagon pattern was laid out digitally on a laptop, so the layout was settled on screen first.
